Um, I have no idea what I'm talking about? lol, I've been blamming and protecting for about five years now, reached the highest B/P rank (and without just save-whoring everything), flagged enough abuse to get the highest whistle rank, and run a 1000+ page club full of people who actually know how to fight spam without behaving foolishly. Trust me, I have a pretty good idea of what I'm talking about.

Y'all need someone to set the rules straight, because a lot of your ideas about fighting spam aren't just ineffective, they make things worse. You got any questions, PM me.

Note: I'm posting here rather than in your thread in the C+C so I don't keep bumping it. It'll eventually be locked and/or drift off the front page, as (as I mentioned) it doesn't meet the requirements for new clubs and mass voting is against the rules.

You're misinformed, I'm afraid.

The cause of the situation in the Portal is people like you. They don't know how the system works, and spammers (who most certainly do know how the system works) take advantage of it...and they take advantage of you. I would know, I've been a spammer in the past.

They rely on people who mistakenly think voting zero every day on a flash will get it deleted. It won't. But it might get them Turd of the Week.

They rely on people who write angry, threatening, and abusive reviews. Those reviews get deleted, leaving behind the tens of their friends and alts. That's why they can take Review Crew Pick and Underdog. They couldn't do it otherwise.

They rely on people who vote solely based on a desire for points, which is what gets their flash passed, and often with high margins.

They rely on people who bitch and rant about flash passing (though those very people are often guilty of the above-mentioned point-whoring), which gives them publicity and the reaction they crave.

Sorry to break this to you, but the majority of the blame for the current Portal situation lays on the NG public. They, in their mass voting and lack of knowledge and desire for stats, made the Portal the way it is. It's the Portal they deserve, and it's what they'll have to deal with until they realize their mistakes.

The same mistakes that you are making.

We'll see if you can learn from them.

Oh, and one more thing. Take a look at my B/P points. Note that I have far more blams than saves, an increasing rarity. If I was only doing this for stats, then I would have a lot more save points than I do right now.

I'm sorry, but you are complete hypocrits. First of all, you just put up a complete spam flash on the portal, a full waste of space. Second, there are specific clubs that oversee the rules of flashes. That is all that you are allowed to do on Newgrounds, no mass-voting. If you really want to help, start by blamming and saving, then join the NGPD and then the EGB. Otherwise, if the populace of Newgrounds is stupid enough to pass these spam flashes, so be it. That's it.

Look, there's been about 100 STOP SPAM crews and they've all failed.

There's no point in this, unless you just want to have fun. Besides, a few of those just hate you, and they're pretty cool when you're their friend.

because like 10 members of the club are connected on Ng at the same time voting 0 on spam... while there are other 190 voting, and at least half of them are happy savers (5 voters)

10 user with (let exagerate) a voting power of 10... thats 100 voting 0... and 190 user, with voting power from 1 to maybe 3 let say its 2...
i say like half vote 5, ok tht's 95 user, who votes worth 2... that's is 190 voting 5

we aren't that powerful you know... a club of 40-50 user... we don't decide here.
NG have about 1.5M user, so sure, is OUR fault
